This is the Front Page for sermons preached at the People's Church of Dover. You will find here links to the texts of my sermons, which may vary just a little bit from the actual presentations in the pulpit: this is what I planned to say.
In preaching, it is my hope to give you something to think about as well as something to inspire affection for God and neighbor. From time to time you may find something here that you disagree with. In the United Church of Christ we have a tradition of a "free pulpit," and also a "free pew"—the minister is a teacher, not a final interpreter. But if by saying something you disagree with I get you to think about the subject some more, then I feel I have done my job. |
